The Directory of CSO in Tanzania 2008/2009 |

| The Foundation for Civil Society in collaboration with the regional networks and NGO Resource Centre (NGO RC) of Zanzibar has developed an online Tanzania Civil Society Directory 2008/9.
The Directory, also available in printed version, has all the contacts information and addresses of about 3,000 CSOs in Tanzania Mainland and Tanzania Zanzibar. It contains information about funding of CSOs, sectors of focus, target groups, employees information. |

| This comprehensive new directory includes CSOs; Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Community Based Organization (CBOs), Faith Based Organization (FBOs), Media Associations, Trade Unions, Workers Associations, Primary Cooperative Union, Consumers Groups, Farmers Groups, entrepreneurs and Professional Associations.
The Directory incorporate aspect of geographical spread (GIS Map) of all the civil society organization listed under CSO Directory. The map helps to show the actual physical location of CSOs in Tanzania. |

| These initiatives are to help the civil society sector to network, fund raise and assisting other partners to understand the sector in terms of what they are doing, the target group, size and focus of these organisations. |
